July 21st to 23rd 2014
The workshop
This meeting will allow us to present the results obtained within the BinaMIcS project and review the project strategy. In particular, we will discuss
- the preliminary survey results (in July, at least one observation of about 75% of the initial whole SC sample will have been obtained), and their implication on star formation and fossil field origins
- the first analyses of the monitoring of the cool targets
- the complementary observations such as the interferometric PIONIER observations of some hot targets, or the photometric observations of cool targets
- the advances in theory about tidal effects or magnetospheric interactions in magnetic close binary systems
- the multi-wavelength campaign that we are putting together for eccentric cool-PMS binaries (X-ray, spectropolarimetry, radio, photometry)
- the computational/database facilities
- other aspects you would like to discuss
The deadline for informal registration is 1 June 2014 and titles and abstracts for presentations should be submitted by 21 June 2014. Please see the Program and Registration pages for more information.
